- A letter on your company letterhead addressed to "Embassy of Bolivia, Visa Section, Washington D.C." explaining the purpose of the trip, listing the name and address of the company to be visited, guaranteeing financial support and return transportation.
or for Bolivian diplomatic and official visa:
- Letter from sending department or agency, addressed to "Embassy of Bolivia, Washington D.C. ", explaining purpose of travel and dates of the trip.
Additional Bolivian visa information:
Starting December 1st, 2007 citizens of the United States will need a Bolivian tourist visa.
Maximum stay per visit: 30 days. A multiple entry visa holder will be able to visit Bolivia 3 times in one year for a total visit of 90 days per year.
Former Bolivian citizens that have obtained an American citizenship do NOT need a visa to enter Bolivia if a valid Bolivian ID card is presented along with any of the following documents:
- RUN number
- Birth certificate
- Military service card
- Family card (Libreta de Familia)
- Consular register card (CRC)
- Former Bolivian passport
- U.S. passport where Bolivia is specified under the "Place of Birth" field
